The first step in my wine journey

When I started this inquiry blog about wine tasting, I thought maybe it will give me more appreciation for wine. It did more than that. It has made me more curious and motivated to learn about wine. It has made me think more about wine regions in the world, I’ve created a wine bucket list, and have started to see wine as an art. As I begin some travel this spring, I have found myself looking into what wine culture looks like in those places, and wondering how I can dip my toes into it.
As I look back, I don’t think I would change a thing! I’m quite happy with how my wine inquiry blog went, and it was always a learning opportunity. I also got to apply some knowledge from my biology and geology degrees, which was quite exciting! It solidified my understanding of climate and the real affects it has on wine making. Soil types and regionality are now at the forefront of my mind while I sip a crisp rosé with my friends.
I’ll be in Stockholm for six weeks on practicum, and maybe I should dabble a bit in the wine country there!
